HR Consulting

Having a HR professional within the business in undoubtedly a positive step for both business and employees.  However, HR can be seen as a direct overhead but in actual fact an effective HR professional can save a business thousands of pounds through various aspects of the business.

A few examples of how a robust HR practice can see a significant return on investment is:

  • Valuable expertise in employment law and following policies and procedures and in some cases re-writing these to ensure reduced employment issues

  • Strategic projects around areas such as absence management or effective recruitment. Staff retention and reduced absence rates saves more than cost such as sick pay or wasted investment and can improve productivity and reduce costs associated to replacement of staff.

  • Alongside areas such as employee engagement and performance management which is valuable in its own right, ultimately a strong HR area should avoid employment tribunals and pay out through compromise agreement. Did you know failing to follow ACAS Code of Conduct as a rule, sees a 25% uplift in any award of unfair or wrongful dismissal. An employment tribunal that is upheld in favour of the employee, is significant enough to put a small company out of business.

For those too small to afford a full time HR professional but expanding enough to see employment issues, using a HR Consultant is the ideal way to save money on a HR wage whilst having peace of mind to the business and it's staff.
